This trip takes you to a place that feels as if time has forgotten it; all you will have for company here is the wildlife. Waternish Point offers spectacular waterfalls with sea eagles soaring above and a remote coastline of cliffs and isolated rocky bays. The Ascrib Islands are a place you could loose yourself forever, you will be sharing them with puffins and seals but surrounded only by peace and solitude.

Ascrib Islands Access Update:
It is now requested by the owner that there is no landing or camping on South Ascrib, accessed at the Jetty – this is made clear by a sign at the jetty. Please be considerate in how you access this islands and look for alternative landing options, of which one can be found close by on Eileen Garave at NG 301643. The Ascrib Islands are all situated within a protected SSSI area, so when paddling or landing on the islands please be sure to minimize any disturbance or impact.
There is very limited parking at the put in, please be considerate
