Paddling ‘through’ the Cape Wrath headland, or ‘around’ it if you prefer!
Significant colonies of breeding seabirds, tens of thousands puffins, razorbills, fulmars, kittiwakes and guillemots (best seen April – June/July).

Cape Wrath is a live firing exercise area for the military. Check with the coastguard, look out in local papers, check at the shop in Durness and look to see if any red flags are flying before you set off. It is also possible to phone the range control on 0800 317071 to ask about the live firing.
