This trip takes you into the heart of the Pentland Firth, here the tidal streams run at their fastest, the waters are always confused and have the potential to be very rough; there is no room for error on this trip and it is certainly not for the faint hearted. Experience of tidal water paddling and planning is a must, along with perfect conditions; with these two essential ingredients this will allow possibly one of the most serious tidal journeys in the UK to be undertaken.
