There are seals a plenty around the Scottish coastline, made up of two species: the grey seal and common seal. Ironically the grey is more common with the UK having nearly 40% of the worlds population and the Monach Isles in the Outer Hebrides being the second largest breeding colony in the world. The sea kayak is the perfect way to see the seals, always being mindful not to unnecessarily disturb them – so don’t get too close!
